The Sign

I'd like to recommend this book. The Sign by Robert Van Kampen ISBN
1-58134-232-2 . It's a scholarly look at many of the prophecies we've all looked at in relation to end-times eschatology and the end of the age. He addresses some very sticky issues and has a little bit different way of looking at some of the topics regularly discussed here. I'm less than halfway through it and I'm not sure exactly where he's going with his conclusions but it's the path that counts.

Well worth the read IMO.
May the Lamb who was slain receive the just reward of His suffering.

For those who want to know the HOW of the 70th week of Daniel and the book of Revelation, I heartily agree with Screaming Eagle...get The Sign, by Robert Van Kampen. It is a very complete work that is well researched and well thought out. It is logically consistent and, I believe, inspired.

I must add, if you get a copy, please get the year 2000 edition. This was Robert Van Kampen's last updated version, since he passed away shortly after it was published. Another caveat, this work is somewhat Europe-centric in its view of where the Anti-Christ comes from. Had Robert lived beyond 9/11, I am sure he would have rethought this aspect of the book.

You may only be able to find this book "used". Even so, it is well worth the read and, when combined with Joel's book "Anti-Christ", a complete picture emerges not only of the HOW, but also the WHO of the "tribulation period".
