I found this place when I have read Joel's book on the "Antichrist". I found that a very thought provoking book and to me that looks like the most plausible "vision" on the end times, looking both at Bible prophecy (and Islamic escatology) and also at what is happening in our World today.
There's a verse in the Bible which expresses well the state of our World in these times, in my opinion:
"Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil that put darkness for light and light for darkness that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter"
(Isiaiah 5:20)
I do feel the reality of this verse every day and IMO Christians have to take care very much not to lose their steps, because in the media, in the society often good is presented as bad and bad is presented as good. And sometimes (or maybe too often?) even Christians fall for that...
I can see politicians, people, the press sympathizing with Islamists buying and spreading the propaganda that they are freedom fighters, not terrorist and the terrorists are Israel. I can see people giving a free pass for Palestinians for terrorist acts and giving them the excuse "they only do it because they are desperate, because they are oppressed and poor". All the while they want to see Israel, the only democratic state in the Middle East to fall. Do they not realize that if Islam gets the upper hand in this World it won't be so cool for us, Westerners? But then it will be too late.
Sometimes I think the World has gone totally nuts! Do you not get this feeling?
The West is too dumb (too dumb for not even realizing the danger) and too weak to step up and fight for its values. They can eat their liberalism once Islam gets the upper hand...
And to me it's amazing how blinded the World is. Even if you are not religious and don't study Bible prophecies the tendencies should be clear: birth rates, immigration, and Islam's potential and intention all point into one direction and it's not good. Westerners should be alarmed, even if they are not religious, but very few are (Wilders and Oriana Fallaci come to my mind of the few public figures who are/were realizing what's going on). People seem to think it will always be the same nice and sunny world here in Europe or in the US. Well, it won't and it's not too long before everything may turn were dark (at least in Europe). The signs are clear to see already.
OK, I know most of what I have written here is nothing new to you, but I had to let it off my chest.
