Could OBAMA be the future AntiChrist?

Postby SoCALMom on Mon Sep 01, 2008 3:38 am

Not at this time, but how about in the not-so-distant future? This great charasmatic orator has burst onto the world scene in an amazing fashion, seemingly out of nowhere, from relative obscurity in only the last 4 years from the last Democratic Convention. Lately he has dazzled and mesmerized Europe (one escstatic European man interviewed by the media after one of Obama's speeches stated that Obama was his "Messiah.") There was a recent joke by an Obama impersonator on Leno's Tonight Show about his ability to walk-on-water. I laughed all this off as ridiculous at first, but now I wonder...

After he rises to power as the President of the USA, will he convert to Islam? Will he become the great peacemaker to broker a 7-year peace deal for Israel? Will the greatest military power the world has ever known (the USA) be the "might" behind AntiChrist's ability to challege the rest of the world's power? (So, maybe America DID have mention in Revelation, except only in reference to the AntiChrist's military forces). A sad, but scary thought.

Finally, his name: Barack Hussein Obama (18 letters, divided into 3, is 6-6-6).

I don't believe that Obama has been recruited--yet--by Satan, but I think he's the perfect candidate. Has any of this occurred to anybody else? Any thoughts?

Actually, I hadn't considered the possibility of him officially converting to Islam IF he gets elected, but that's certainly possible. I've got lots of questions about his real beliefs simply based on his political stands. He did certainly pop up out of nowhere and his 'charisma' seems to tickle the ears of people with little or no discernment (Oprah!) but so many people see what's happening now and it seems the lines are becoming clearer. He's also certainly a candidate for the 'powers of this world' to steer according to truly wicked plans.
I don't consider him to be 'the' antichrist leader but he'd certainly fall in line with that lawless one without question especially if it had a 'veneer' of socially acceptable ruses. There are so many things that could happen between now and then that it's just unimaginable. Just today there was an announcement that Israel and Georgia had reached an agreement about Israel using Georgia air bases for a possible attack on Iran. Talk about messing up the puzzle pieces!
Now's the time to be getting ready for truly hard times that we are unable to imagine including famines, government crackdowns, persecution of anyone that stands upright and maybe even martial law.
May the Lamb who was slain receive the just reward of His suffering.

Hi, I'm so happy for a reply, and thanks for your thoughts. The last part of your message left me very troubled.....that we should "get ready for truly hard times...government crackdowns...persecutions...martial law..." The only way we should fear these things is if we don't believe that we are worthy of being spared from the wrath of God that will be poured out during the last days. Yes, I know this is coming. But I believe (firmly) that the Rapture will remove God's Church from this world before the very worst of things come to pass.

I have been studying escatology quite a lot in the last year (and was quite shocked, at first, and then enlightened by Joel Richardson's book "AntiChrist - Islam's Awaited Messiah.) Believing sincerely that we are truly in "the last days," I have asked myself, and asked God, where is the AntiChrist right now? Where is he hiding? He must be somewhere, right now.....so where? So, being a HUGE fan of Barack Obama for quite some time, I was so excited to get the opportunity to hear his acceptance speech last Thursday night (8/28/08). As the speech started, and I was enthralled as always to here him speak, out of the blue I heard a voice say, "You are looking at him." WHAT, I asked? Then, as if a cloud was being removed from my eyes, I could actually envision him in "Arab" garb. I could actually imagine him some time in the future, speaking to the WORLD from a much higher position than just President of the United States. Believe me, it was a stunning revelation. I'm still trying to get over the whole experience. Shocking. Very sobering. Now, I will never look at Barack Obama in the same way again. And-- big surprise to me-- I certainly won't be voting for him now. A week ago, I ccouldn't have imagined that! Oh well. Only time will tell for sure, I guess. But at least I know that I'm not afraid of the future.

Well, again, thanks for your reply. I wish you all God's blessings.

Wow...what a vision. That's the mercy of God in action and sends chills down my spine.

I invite you to read Matthew 24 and 25 very slowly paying special attention to all the references about preparing and holding fast. Look around at world events in that context and know that He's talking about times like we're in this very day.

Then, go back to Ma 24:29 and read it very carefully: But immediately 'after' the tribulation of those days... I know your Pastor has probably been very faithful in preaching about rapture etc. And there will be a rapture. It's just not to protect His true Bride from tribulation. I think it will be a 'pre-wrath' rapture rather than a 'pre-trib' rapture and I think the pattern of that is clear throughout scripture.

Note the sequence of events and specific directions in the stories that He tells there. They are meant to be taken literally and to be instructive to His people. Also, please read from the end of chapter 24 into chapter 25 without a break. It was one delivery of one message and not meant to be broken into separate references of thought! It truly takes living Faith to understand His specific instructions here as instructions and not simple metaphors and to ACT on them.

Take the story of Joseph in Egypt for a clear example. When God interpreted Pharaoh's dream through Joseph, Joseph didn't have to ask the Lord what to do. He said (paraphrasing) 'this is what the dream means, the Lord has established it because it happened twice (done deal) and I think this is what I would do' (storing up grain etc). Pharaoh (even the worldly dullard that he was) immediately agreed and said 'yep, and I'm putting you in charge'. We all know how that played out and what it led to...ultimate deliverance from death at Passover. Now compare that story to Ma 24:45-51 and what Jesus Christ Himself had to say about preparing for these times.

Please hear me. I'm not trying to criticize you or your Pastor or anyone else. I'm just asking you to get with your Husband and family, read these scriptures out loud and pray to God Almighty for His wisdom and leading about the obvious thing to do. If it turns out that the grains etc you store up are not needed immediately, you're free to count it as economical buying for your family in bulk and call me an idiot if you want. I don't care. I just honestly believe that God does not hand out the kind of visions He gave you for no reason. It could very well be the 'separating of the sheep from the goats'.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Shalom, shalom. Paul
May the Lamb who was slain receive the just reward of His suffering.

could obama be the future antichrist

Postby frank on Tue Oct 07, 2008 11:55 am

I believe he is more so now after reading this thread. I had a vision several years ago re a rapture during an election celebration. The people were chanting the king has come the king has come. My father was caught up in this deception. It was getting very dark and I had to leave or depart for the rapture but I worried so much for my father because he fell for this person. I now live in the area that I saw in the vision. My father is 90 years old and in failing health so I don't think it is another election. He has been reading the left behind books even though he is marginaly interested in Christ. He watches CNN and believes their slant on things. Won't listen to me. I came by one day and saw an Obama sign in his yard.

I hope I am wrong. But it seems to me there will be a big crisis and allready is. I believe they will think he is the man that can save America and the world for that matter.

I am more and more sure he is the one.

I'm not at all sure that he's 'the' one, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he joins in league with them right off the bat. Thanks for sharing your 'vision'. Very disturbing. If I were you, I'd focus on the 'life' and 'abortion' issue with your dad. Obama has made his stance clear about that and the heart of the Lord is perfectly clear about it. That alone should be enough to sway him if he's honest with himself.

To SoCalMom on Obama

Postby dianaofthemidwest on Sun Oct 26, 2008 1:23 pm

to SoCalMom I am hoping that you check these threads still. I am wondering what you found in your reading of Matthew?????
These topics on Obama are very interesting. I do think he has an AC spirit and have known that there is just "something" about him since the middle of the primaries. My husband and I were going to vote for him in the primaries (we really knew nothing about him, just that he spoke well and we did not want Hillary to win!) but we did a complete turn around in our thinking on him as soon as Farakan endoursed him.
It seems to me that the Lord has been sending me information and truths about the times we are in since the beginning of this year. My eyes were opened for sure after reading Joel Richasrd's book. I just stummbled upon the book on amazon somehow! I have been seeking and asking God for truth and for him to keep me and my family from being deceived from the spirit of this age and boy, has he been answering that prayer!
I urge you to continue seeking truth and asking God for wisdom, especially now.

Blessings,
Diana

Obama NOT Antichrist

Postby The 91st Psalm on Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:02 pm

There is actually no Scriptural evidence to support Obama as the "man of lawlessness" or any other American for that matter. These are just my opinions and are completely worthless when compared to YHWH's word. I personally believe the Antichrist will rise from Assyria (modern day Syria). Sometimes I think it is hard as Americans to see God's plan. When Israel goes, so goes the rest of the world. Eventhough we are the most powerful nation, it does not mean we have a saying in God's perfect plan for the ages. I believe our duty is to support Israel as hard times come upon the world. I will be very concerned with Obama if he pulls the plug with our assistance to Israel. These are just thoughts. I would strongly consider visiting theantichrist.net and forming your own opinions. I feel Scot Dryer is based in the Scriptures and I appreciate his unapologetic preaching style. Pray for the Lord's wisdom, visit the site and see if it is relevant for you.

It's been quite some time since I visited this site, and was very happy to read some new opinions and thoughts about Obama. Welcome to the new members!

Well the election has come and gone now, and it ended according to what I was expecting. I knew McCain couldn't win the Presidency, because it was Obama's destiny. Now not just the US, but the WHOLE WORLD, is so thrilled, and waiting with great expectancy for the hope of what be brings to their future. Sure sounds to me like we are truly witnessing the "rise" of the AntiChrist. Somehow I don't believe Obama has been approached by Satan yet, but in my heart I just know it will be a reality some time in the very near future.

As scary as the economy and the world is becoming lately, it still brings confirmation and hope to me that we are truly living in the "last days."

Blessings to All....

I am not saying Obama could not be an evil man or a sheep disguised in wolf's clothing but there is no Scripturual basis for him being the Antichrist. We must constantly try to discern God's perfect Word and not lean on our own understanding. Study prophecy in Ezekiel and Isaiah. Also, read Daniel and Revelation together because they mirror each other perfectly. Obama seems like a good candidate but if you believe the Word, he simply cannot be. Type al-Wahash Syria in google and see what you come up with...

I refrain myself to call anybody the AntiChrist before there's proof. However I have to tell you I get an uncomfortable feeling whenever I see how mad people are getting for this man. I hope it's just some "rock star effect", just a media hype and it will go away with time. Whether Obama is the AC or not, that kind of fanatism for a politician is not healthy. I hope he is not the AC, of course. But then I have always imagined the AC would be someone whom the whole World will love and celebrate. Of course, he won't come telling us immediately that he is the AC. He has to be charming with a smooth talk and with things that look to be good in the World's eyes at first.

Today is inauguration day and I can't get this thought out of my mind:

My pastor has said about three weeks ago that Obama will make peace in the Middle East by passing East Jerusalem to the Palestinians. And everybody will be happy, but of course it will be a false peace. My pastor did not claim Obama was the AC. But making that peace, wouldn't mean that he IS? Putting it together with his blurry past and "faith", his bonds to Islam (he might secretly still be a Muslim).... well, at least it's an interesting combination, don't you think? I have never seen a politician about whom I can imagine it so much as about him. In the past there have been speculations about Sarkozy, but I have always found that ridiculous. However Obama - whereever he goes people go crazy for him. The whole world is looking at him hoping for the solution of their problems. Isn't it a bit surreal? Could it be him? Hm, interesting, interesting times we are living in.

Ah and BTW I (along with many other people) noticed two things today. One was in Rev. Warren's prayer, calling Jesus by his Muslim name "Isa" (he also called him Jesus, but it was strange why he felt the need to also call him "Isa"). Rev. Warren should know better. Isa, the "Muslim Jesus" is not who we call Jesus Christ.

And the second was when Obama said: "we are a nation of Christians and Muslims..." Then he followed by saying "...and Jews and Hindus". But wasn't it a bit strange to put Muslims right behind (or on level?) with Christians and only then saying "Jews"? What did Muslims contribute to building the USA compared to Jews? The USA is built on Judeo-Christian values, not Christian-Muslim values...
I tought putting Muslims ahead of Jews was intentional and a very significant message by President Obama.

die gedanken sind frei so I will ramble abit

Obama is the 'king' now

An example I think to follow is Daniel. Even after being carried away by king Nebuchad-nezzar. Never once showed any disrespect towards him, he even desired the dream of the kings fall was that of another. Yet Daniel a prophet of Adonai did not partake in the things of Babylon he rejected it completly and obeyed God's commandments and God protected Daniel.

Many here and especially in the news and other organizations have contended quite strongly mind you to have a certain king judge over them this last election just as others before. Some socalled christians even went so far as to preach to the body in churchs of all places who the king should be and not once, NOT ONCE! did I hear the name of the Only Begotten Son of God mentioned.

Actions like that only make me think of some Judeans (1 Samuel 8 ) when they desired to have a king like the 'other' nations. And in so doing rejected Gods reign over them. Let us have our king you say Obama! McCain!, Hillary! Fred! Palin! <insert name here> a republican, democrat , liberal conservative, independent, man, woman in his stead. We want to be just like the other nations but we are better! Because we have this or we've done that, bah. Whatever the reason it is just like the 'other' nations I'm sure.

Can the statement of you are just rendering unto Ceasar what is Ceasars really be applied to excuse this? Or is it really wanting a king other than God to judge over you? I have a hard time with this voting thing of late, thinking it's not all what it's cracked up to be. I mean, who did you vote for to be your king who is it you choose to reign over you? You can have serve one master not both.

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

Surely it ist good to be warned, to be wary, to be prepared. But don't forget to tell others of the wonderous works of Christ. Look not so much for the coming of Anti-Christ but rather for our Messiah The Son of God Yeshua our KING!

I think Obama could be a scary leader, some of the things he's said, and the way people marvel at him is downright eery. But the bible does tell us where the Antichrist will come from:

Daniel 8:9 Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land. 10 It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. 11 It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. 12 Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.
The previous verses are talking about Alexander the great, the goat with a prominent horn, and I believe this section is referring to the Seleucid portion of the Greek empire. Which is a heckofa long way from Obama's birthplace in Kenya.

That pretty much rules him out of the race for being the AC. That being said, he could definitely be an enabler. I'm sure everybody has heard his now famous slip "my Muslim faith" and who knows what his personal beliefs are except God.

Yes, I know his - alleged - birthplace doesn't fit. But there's so much mystery around his birth that sometimes I wonder if he was really born in Hawaii or even Kenya...

True enough, there's a lot of weird stuff surrounding that guy, but I think the things we know about the AC pretty much cuts out any US president as being a candidate.

The verse I quoted says he "started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land" which means it will be someone near the Beautiful Land which is Israel.

I totally agree. Not only a forerunner but perhaps an enabler as well. So far we've seen him bow to the Saudi king (which according to the US constitution is highly illegal) and entirely capitulate to the Muslim world.

The last great superpower is being defanged, declawed, and spaded. As well as being bankrupted. As an outsider (Canadian 'eh!) I assumed his first mistakes were merely blunders stemming from inexperience. As time goes on and the gaffes continue to mount up, which are consistently and constantly eroding the American constitution; one can only assume that it is a calculated measure aimed at destroying the republic. Welcome to "change we can believe in".

It shouldn't entirely surprise us that the liberal left and the Islamists acquiesce. They have the same father.
